ALLI MINER studies at Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she worked with Jake Berthot. Alli Miner says about her work:

My babies series was born out of sheer fascination with their form. I am interested not only in the babies themselves but also how they inhabit their environment. Many of my babies seem to be floating or tumbling through ambiguous space. I think that even as adults we never quite escape that feeling of aimlessly tumbling through a world we don't always understand.
