BASMAT LEVIN was born in Israel. Since 1990 she has worked as an electronic retoucher of photographs for a graphic design company in New York City. She studied painting at the International School of Art in 1989. Before that, she studied in New York City at the New York Studio School, the Center of Media Arts, the School of Visual Arts, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and at Santa Monica College, Santa Monica CA. She was the winner of the Charles Revson Fellowship in 1988. Basmat Levin lives and works in New York City.
