How to Apply - APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Application form - Please complete the entire form.
  2. Application fee - A non-refundable $40 fee (or 30 Euro) is required to process your application. We accept check, cash and bank money orders (no postal money orders).
  3. Slides - 12 slides in a slide sheet, photos or a CD (slides are preferable) of your recent work with your name, size of the work, and TOP indicated on each slide. School applicants should include at least four slides of drawings. CE applicants may include an essay in place of slides, although slides are preferable. We will keep your slides for a “Meet Your Colleagues” viewing at the beginning of each session, after which we'll return them to you. Do not email images.
  4. Recommendations - Letters of recommendation from two people who know your character and your work (preferably current or former teachers for School applicants). Letters of reference must include a mailing address. Please list their names and phone numbers in the space provided on this application.

  6. Admissions Timetable - There are no application deadlines. Please keep in mind that the program is small and space is limited. We recommend that you apply early.

The School fee includes tuition, studio space, room, three meals a day, group trips, and ground transportation from and to Rome on the first and last day of each session. The additional charge for a single room, when available, is 100 Euro per week. School students must remit a security deposit of 100 Euro with their fees against damages, lost keys, or excessive cleaning. This deposit, less any deductions or outstanding fees, will be refunded after the end of the program. Independent Residencies are also available during School sessions. The Residency fee, CE fee and Landscape Seminar fee includes studio space, a single room, three meals a day, group trips, and ground transportation from and to Fiumicino airport in Rome on the first and last day of each session. Residents and CE students may apply for less than a full session. Fees are calculated by number of weeks. Independent Residencies are open during the School sessions for the same price as the School session. All fees must be received no later than one month before the session begins, or may be subject to late payment fees. Fees are calculated in EURO and include 20% IVA (value-added tax).
